"Sassy"

Sassy owns Sassy’s Lumber & Nails. She enjoys wood and nail literature. She quotes Paul Muldoon’s poem Symposium (Hay): “Make hay while you can still hit the nail on the head.“ Her own poem to Mr. Muldoon: I like straw, I like hay, but Paul Muldoon’s hair no way.“ Sassy wants to know: If the Chocolate Factory can make chocolate hearts and chocolate lips why not nails? Why oh why? She knows Shakespeare would have understood her: "Or as one nail by strength drives out another, So the remembrance of my former love Is by a newer object quite forgotten" (Two Gentlemen of Verona).
